Wheat Paste Post Haste 3D shadow box #1/1
This is a 3D version of my art print version of my 2010 Pearl Jam in Hartford poster. I based this poster on Mark Twain's 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn' as Mr Twain lived in Hartford, CT when he wrote it. The image is an homage to a famous painting by Norman Rockwell published in the 1936 version of the book. In this scene Tom Sawyer was tricking another kid to take over the job of white washing the fence that he was tasked to paint by his aunt. I gave it a modern twist with two skater kids wheat pasting the fence with a Pearl Jam poster, creating a poster within a poster. This art print version has a neat little update. The little poster within a poster from my 2010 Pearl Jam Hartford poster has been added and makes this custom 3D even more unique. Signed by both of us and numbered 1/1.
My long time friend, Mike Braack, has the skill of a surgeon and the mind of a madman! He's taken 4 actual screen printed posters and cut them apart with an X-acto blade with great precision and reassembled them on foamcore, layering them meticulously one on top of one another creating an original 3D presentation. Look at the actual miniature chain on the wallet! The final piece is framed in a shadow box measuring 22"x 28". It is signed by both of us. Sound crazy? It is! He's created a couple dozen of these for me over the last two decades. They are one of a kind items that are only created once for any single image of mine, they are all a true #1/1. These items are in select homes all around the world. One collector in Australia owns three of them!
Only one available, ever!
